Lännen Alituspalvelu Oy bought 24.1.2023 with concluded deal the drilling business of Styrud Boreal Oy as a business transaction. With the acquisitions, Lännen Alituspalvelu Oy strengthens its position as a provider of drilling services in the entire Finnish market.

“We are very happy that the acquisition was completed on time and that we are able to better and more widely serve our customers” says managing director of Lännen Alituspalvelu Pekka Vepsä.

In the future Styrud will concentrate their operations in Swedish market, where our market position is considerably stronger than in Finland”, states Chairman of the Board of Styrud, Sten-Anders Eriksson.

With the acquisition, Lännen Alituspalvelu strengthens its strategy in a region that will be targeted by large investments in the energy transmission network in Finland and the Baltics in the future. The business transaction expands Lännen Alituspalvelu Oy’s service offering in horizontal drilling and drill piling services throughout Finland. In addition, Lännen Alituspalvelu gained more drilling industry professionals and know- how to strengthen its operations. The purchased business is located in Muhos and Nurmijärvi.

After the deal, Lännen Alituspalvelu’s company group employs a total of 60 drilling professionals in Finland and the Baltics.

The deal does not affect existing contracts and agreements.
